  • ⅓ cup fat-free milk
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla (optional)
  • ⅛ teaspoon salt (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon canola oil
  • 4 slices whole-wheat bread

Preparation

1
Beat together eggs, milk, vanilla, and salt in a shallow bowl.
2
Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat.
3
Dunk each slice of bread in egg mixture.
4
Place bread in pan and cook until golden, about 2 minutes per side.
5
Transfer to serving plate and sprinkle with powdered sugar and cinnamon, if desired.
Recipe Tips

Try topping with fresh fruit like blueberries or sliced strawberries. To make allergen friendly, swap out the ingredients to fit your family’s needs. For a gluten- or wheat-free option, use gluten-free bread. Use soy milk for a dairy-free option.
