How to Make It

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup breastmilk, formula or water
  • 2 teaspoons creamy peanut butter
  • 1 tablespoon baby cereal of choice, such as rice, oatmeal, multi-grain or whole wheat

Preparation

1
Pour breastmilk, formula or water into a small bowl. Add peanut butter and mix with a spoon or fork to create a slurry that appears mostly blended.
2
Add baby cereal to the peanut butter blend. Continue stirring until smooth and combined, making sure there are no sticky clumps.
3
Add more breastmilk, formula or water as needed to reach desired consistency.
Recipe Tips

This recipe is a great way to offer your baby peanut products. Try adding your baby’s favorite fruit or vegetable puree to the cereal for more flavor! Or you can blend peanut butter into any baby food puree. Never use chunky peanut butter or give whole peanuts to your baby due to choking risks.

If using a natural peanut butter, you may notice a separation of the oil and peanut butter in the jar. Be sure to thoroughly stir the peanut butter until the oil and solids are blended to a creamy consistency before using.
